Curanderismo is a healthcare system which blends traditional Mexican, Native American, African and Spanish Medicine.
It is an earthy, natural, grounded healing system that seeks to keep all of the elements of our being in balance-physical, emotional, mental,physical and spiritual. The wounded soul as well as the body must be healed.
Humans along with animals, plants, minerals, water, earth, fire and air are a part of the living earth system.
Illness occurs when we do not live in harmony with all aspects of soul and nature. Curanderismo provides many tools for healing and ceremonies for soul retrieval and the healing of the heart.

I completed a 5 year apprenticeship with Eloxochitl Ivonne M. Buendia Sanchez who works as a healer in San Pablo Tecalco-Mexico.I was given the medicine name of Jaomecatl.
Eloxochitl founded the Calpulli Cencalli, a study centre for people interested in the teachings of the Mexihkas. There she teaches the philosophy and language Nahuatl, traditional medicine , mexihkan astronomy and mathematics.
Cen Jaotl (United Warriors) is a group of healers in the UK who have been training with Eloxochitl and Cuauhyelitzli in the Medicina Mexihka tradition of Huehue Pactli (Old Medicine). Trisha Jaomecatl is a member of this group.
